Applications Session 7 - Creating a Menu for your Database

There are 2 ways that you can create a menu system for your Database. One method is by using the Navigation form option. The second method is by creating a blank form and adding Command buttons to it.

Navigation form

You will find the Navigation forms in the form section of create. The idea is that you choose which format you want and drag and drop the objects on to the navigation.

Using A Blank Form

The second method is using a blank form and adding command buttons. Start by going to Create and then select Blank Form

Once the Blank Form is loaded, you can go into Design View and start to create your customised menu by adding command buttons and following the prompts from the wizard.

Open a form - such as the Customer entry form

Open a report for preview or printing direct

You can even add a button to close down Access and the application

Use Property Sheet to add a background image

Change your view to see what your menu looks like.
